Halifax - Start at Micmac Native Friendship Centre at 12 pm for speakers and a light snack. Walk begins at 1 pm and ends at Law Courts building at 2pm.
End location was chosen to support Maurina Beadle who, together with the Pictou Landing First Nation, has filed a case against the federal government for failing to implement Jordan’s Principle and denying her son Jeremy the same level of care as is available receive off-reserve. The case will be heard in Federal Court on June 11. Learn more about the case here
