This curriculum was designed with leadership in mind.
Leaders lead – this is their responsibility. By offering this opportunity to leadership, we hope that they will clear a path for this important reconciliation work to be done.
The curriculum is not intended to be a course so much as it is a structured space of relationship building. The overarching goals is to create an opportunity for Indigenous and Non-Indigenous leadership within child welfare to come together for the purpose of dialogue and generating action plans for movement toward reconciliation.
There is no ideal candidate for this curriculum, however, if your community:
- Has Indigenous and non-Indigenous leaders that are willing to work together,
- Is looking for a new way of engagement is effective, and
- Believes in the process and guiding values of the Touchstones.
Then please consider applying for a community workshop.
