People of all ages, including youth, can participate in meaningful reconciliation activities by learning about reconciliation and the Truth and Reconciliation Commission's Calls to Action, learning about the history of Canada from a variety of viewpoints, and learning about fun and engaging ways to get involved. Resources for Senior Grades (Grades 9-12) may include those that teach about Indigenous history and culture, aim to broaden perspectives, and encourage critical thinking. 

Here are some activities that would be great for children in the Senior Grades (Grades 9-12) age range:

• Learn about residential schools through Project of Heart and Reconciling History.
• Learn about important issues for First Nations children and young people through Caring Society resources including videos. 
• Organize a Have a Heart Day party or a teddy bear tea party for Bear Witness Day in your school.
• Learn about the TRC's Calls to Action and plant a heart garden for Honouring Memories, Planting Dreams.
• Create a Shannen's Dream club and participate in annual events like School is a Time for Dreams.
• Host a Reconciliation Ambearrister to learn about and participate in reconciliation for the school year. 
• Plan fundraising campaigns to support initiatives for First Nations children and youth.
