I’m Lisa, I am a Mi’kmaw woman from Wékopekwitk, Nova Scotia. 

I’m a mother, kinship caregiver, and Law and Society student at the University of Calgary. My experiences navigating child welfare and social support systems have inspired me to continue my education and pursue a career in law. 

I am grateful to receive the Jordan’s Principle Scholarship, which supports my educational journey and encourages my commitment to creating meaningful change for future generations.
