Canada files its national plan to end its discrimination in First Nations Child and Family Services (outside of Ontario) with the Canadian Human Rights Tribunal pursuant to 2025 CHRT 80.
Supporting Canada's national plan:
The Caring Society, with support from the National Children's Chiefs Commission (NCCC) and the Assembly of First Nations (AFN), filed the Loving Justice National Plan to end Canada’s discrimination in First Nations Child and Family Services (outside of Ontario) with the Canadian Human Rights Tribunal pursuant to 2025 CHRT 80.
Along with the Loving Justice National Plan, the Caring Society filed the affidavit of Dr. Cindy Blackstock.
On November 21, 2025, the National Children's Chiefs Commission (NCCC) filed a notice of motion to the Tribunal seeking Interested Party Status.
Order granting Nishnawbe Aski Nation (NAN) interested party status.
On September 17, 2009, the Tribunal granted both the Chiefs of Ontario (COO) and Amnesty International interested party status.
