Tansi, my name is Sandi Hart, and I am Swampy Cree from Kinosao Sipi. My spirit name is Nipi Mikisew Iskwew, meaning Water Eagle Woman, and I am from the Bear clan. I was born and raised on the Norway House reserve; I am proud to be from my community and hope to one day work as a health professional at the local hospital. Currently, I am completing a Bachelor of Health Science at the University of Manitoba with the intention of pursuing Indigenous maternal health and research after graduation.
